The 2017 Grand National will be run on the 8th of April and it will be the 170th running of the race. As normal this race takes part on the last day of the three day festival. There will be a maximum field of 40 runners that will be running for a share of a prize fund of approx £1 million pounds.
The race will be broadcast live on television by ITV instead of the BBC this will be the first time it has been shown on this channel. There will also be a live radio coverage by BBC Radio and also on Talk-sport, which will cover the main race live for the fourth time.
